Biography

LATHAM John F. Carroll, 92, of Weed Road, died Monday, December 19, 2011 in St. Peter's Hospice, Albany.
Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Charles A. Carroll and Sarah Moran Carroll and husband of the late Gloria Gannon Carroll, who died in 1986.

Raised in Lansingburgh, he served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. John was a supervisor in production control at the Watervliet
Arsenal for 35 years, retiring in 1981. John was a member of the Brunswick Lodge of Elks #2556 and the Friends of 112th Street.
Survivors include a daughter Anne M. Martin (Sheridan) of Lansingburgh,
a son Thomas R. Carroll of Latham,
grandson Daniel P. Carroll of Albany,
a sister Helen Maier (Andy) of Lansingburgh,
a daughter in law Christine A. Carroll of Troy and several nieces and nephews.

John was predeceased by a son John T. Carroll, two brothers Charles and Francis Carroll, two sisters Elizabeth Copeland and Josephine Bourk

Funeral services will be at 8:15 a.m. Friday from the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th St. and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh
and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Ambrose Church, Latham where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Cambridge.

Calling hours will be held 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations to Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, 315 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208, would be appreciated.
